Why “free” QR codes stop working
Many generators create dynamic codes that point to their own short link. When the trial ends, they disable the redirect and ask for a subscription — after you've already printed packaging, menus or invitations. A static code encodes your link itself, so it can't be switched off.

FAQ
Is the bulk QR code generator really free?
Yes. The generator is free during beta, with no sign-up and no watermark. Codes you generate are static, so they never depend on us: even if the tool changes later, the codes you already printed keep working.
Do static QR codes expire?
No. A static QR code stores your URL or text directly inside the pattern, so there is no middleman server to switch off. It keeps working as long as the destination link itself works.
Why did my "free" QR code stop working?
Many generators create dynamic codes that point to their own short link. When the free trial ends, they disable that redirect until you subscribe. Scan your code: if the URL shown is the generator's domain instead of your own, it is dynamic.
What is the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?
Dynamic codes can be edited and tracked after printing, but only while you keep paying the provider. Static codes cannot be edited after printing, but they never expire and need no account. Tip: point a static code at a page on your own domain, and you can change that page any time.
How does bulk generation from CSV or Excel work?
One row becomes one code. Use a column named url (or link/text) and an optional label column. You get a ZIP of PNG and SVG files named by label, or a print-ready PDF with the label printed next to or under each code. Up to 1,000 codes per batch.
Can I print on Avery label sheets?
Yes. The PDF export has layouts for Avery 5160, 5163, L7160 and L7163 plus a plain grid. Print at 100% scale (no "fit to page") and do a test print on plain paper first. Printers differ, so check alignment before using real label stock.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Codes are generated in your browser, so your list of URLs never leaves your computer. Static codes also contain no scan tracking.
What size should I print a QR code?
As a rule of thumb, keep codes at least 2 × 2 cm (about 0.8 in) for close scanning, keep the white quiet zone around the code, and test-scan a printed proof before a large print run.
